Elevator Car Installation method
“Elevator Car Installation Technology” refers to the use of new or existing cars as work platforms, usually using the car ceiling as a platform. However, the platform is driven by a climber rather than a traction machine. This type of technology requires using two indepen-dent means for fall protection while installing platforms. It is a fast installation process, and the elevator car can be directly used as a formal elevator car without the need for disassem-bly and assembly after being used as a platform.

Every RIGID installation hoist is backed by dual fall protection and TÜV CE-certified safety systems.
Centrifugal mechanism activates if descent exceeds 30 m/min. Two models: OSL510 (1,000 kg) and OSL512 (1,600 kg). Locking distance ≤ 200 mm.
Manual or automatic secondary descent protection. Activated via speed limiter cable or manual release. Provides independent mechanical locking on guide rails.
An on/off limit switch installed on the platform. When the platform rises to a section without guide rails, the switch triggers and cuts the upward power supply — preventing the platform from running off the guide rails.
Measure top hook tension quickly with integrated force gauges and climbers. Ensures load distribution is within safe limits before work begins.

The climber control box is equipped with an anti-derailment switch socket. The anti-derailment switch component should be connected to the climber and installed on the platform to support the guide rail laterally.

The second descent protection of the platform is achieved by manually triggering the Safety tong trigger or automatically triggering the speed limiter.
